Project Details:
Located in the beautiful Brandywine Bay area of Morehead City, the Carriage House presented all of the challenges associated with a structure that is more than one hundred years old and neglected.

The project included complete demo of the interior, installation of new kitchen, new baths, flooring, fireplaces, ceilings, doors and windows. The electrical and heating and air units were replaced and upgraded to meet code and the needs of the clients.

Although the clients lived out of state at the time of construction, C.R. Beaver maintained a close working relationship with them through the construction process. Successful collaboration with design professionals, quality suppliers and subcontractors produced a unique and beautiful home.

A Word from the Client:
It has always been our dream to live on the water. After many hours of researching and searching the internet around the particular area which seemed to call our names, we stumbled upon an interesting prospect. Built in 1904, it was sure to have the character we were looking for in a home.

As in most old houses, this home offered many challenges. We happened to know a great contractor who came to us highly recommended. C.R. Beaver felt they had the ability to breathe life back into this house. They took on this project with all of the major obstacles from termite infestation to plumbing of 100 years plus!

Our project, in particular, illustrated C.R. Beaver’s attention to detail and concern for quality service. They had creative solutions to challenges that arose along the way. It is because of C.R. Beaver’s creativity that we were able to see our dreams become a reality.
